The Charon or HP Idle utilities can be removed using the following steps.

1.Verify the Idle Utility is present.

$ PRODUCT SHOW PRODUCT IDLE

2.Remove the utility with the following command.

$ PRODUCT REMOVE IDLE

3.Reset the SYSGEN parameter CPU_POWER_MGMT.

$ MC SYSGEN
SYSGEN> USE CURRENT
SYSGEN> SET CPU_POWER_MGMT 0
SYSGEN> WRITE CURRENT
SYSGEN> EXIT
