If you are experiencing network problems with older versions of OpenVMS or Tru64, ensure you are using the DE435.  The DE435 offers better compatibility with older O/S.   Use the DE435 with versions of OpenVMS prior to VMS 7.2 and Tru64 UNIX prior to 4.0.
